PANZ Members' Points System



Honour Award Recipients

​There are 3 levels to the points based award system

Points will be added after each Annual Purely Pastel Exhibition
Application for points outside of this will be June and November

​

Artist Member (APANZ)
10 points in total to be attained by accumulation from the following:

PANZ NATIONAL EXHIBITIONS
  •  3 Points gained for acceptance into your first PANZ National Exhibition
  •  1 Point gained for acceptance into subsequent PANZ National Exhibitions from 2020​ until APANZ is achieved.

In addition:
  •  5 Points for 1st place in the PANZ National Exhibition
  •  3 Points for Highly Commended in the PANZ National Exhibition
  •  2 point for a Merit in the PANZ National Exhibition ( x4)
  •  1 point for Honourable Mention  ( Up to 10 no cash award)

OTHER NATIONAL (NZ) EXHIBITIONS
  • 1 Point for an award in a Nationally recognised Exhibition that calls for entries nationwide.​
  • 1 Point for publication of work in a reputable national / international art magazine or book
  • 2 points for having an article in a reputable magazine on invitation.

INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITIONS
  • 2 Points for a recognised International Award with a Pastel Painting
  • ​1 Point for acceptance/finalist into a recognised International Exhibition

Distinguished Member (DPANZ)

25 points (including the 10 needed to become an Artist Member)
i.e. 15 more points required:


Points awarded as above excluding:  1 point for subsequent PANZ Exhibitions until APANZ achieved.

OR

By application of a portfolio and resume to be reviewed by 3 Master Pastelists
Which would include:
  • 6 current images showing a consistent body of work, technical excellence, and artistic merit.
  • Evidence of awards/achievements gained Nationally or Internationally in recognised Exhibitions.
  • A completed Points Review form

2 review dates  June and November for Portfolio Applications

Master Member (MPANZ)
 This award will be bestowed after positive consideration by a panel of 3 Master
 Pastelists and/or Management Committee.


 Criteria, in addition to painting, will be considered by the panel, including matters such as:
  • Evidence of tutoring or providing other similar services to PANZ    members
  • Regular attendance at PANZ Conventions
  • Promotion of PANZ through the media
  • The applicant's history of awards and exhibitions for pastel painting

Certificates for Award Recipients

Certificates for Award Recipients are presented at the annual PANZ convention meetings.
