Lyn Henry is a Southlander born and bred, living near Invercargill on a 5 acre block. She has an acre of mature garden which forms the inspiration for a lot of her art. She loves golf, reading, travel, and sharing a laugh with friends and family.
Lyn has been a member of PANZ since about 2003; she attended her first convention in Dunedin 2008, entering her first painting in the national exhibition. Since then, she has attended and entered her art in most national events.
She and life member John Cutt organised the 2014 Invercargill convention, and with Treasurer Anita Adamson has recently put together the 2020 "Covid"- affected one in Dunedin.
Lyn's art has evolved over the years, from representational to more mood and emotion based work. Most of her work now veers towards abstract expressionism, with pastel as her chosen medium. She also occasionally enjoys switching back to realism!
Lyn is currently Vice President of PANZ, and Southern Regional Rep for Otago and Southland. She also convenes the Invercargill-based Southern Pastel Artists group.
