Linda Guirey
Editor of the PANZ Newsletter Member of the Executive Committee I live in a small rural area called Oruawharo, between Te Hana and Kaiwaka in Northland, moving here at the end of 2019. I started my own speaking and training business in 2009, speaking at conferences and delivering workshops on communication, customer service, conflict resolution, team building, presentation skills - to name a few. I was awarded Best Nationwide Professional Speaker in 2019 - People's Choice Award. Covid however, stopped me in my tracks and since moving to Oruawharo, I now only deliver online workshops, which frees me up to dabble a bit more in my art and spend time on our rural property with our rescue dogs. I won a publishing award for my book 'Reflections in the Face of Change', a book about how I overcame a major challenge in my life. I am the Coordinator of the Coalition for Deaf Mental Health Aotearoa and am fluent in NZ Sign Language, and am a consultant to the NZ Deaf Rugby Union. I have been on many Boards over the years, and am also an Assessor for Creative NZ, so finding time for my art can be a challenge. I have been a member of PANZ since March 2021 and became Editor of the newsletter at the end of 2022.
