I have been drawing and painting for about 10 years but discovered pastels after attending classes at the Mairangi Art Centre. I am very enthusiastic about pastels – their freshness, colour range and compatibility with my style. I am a member of the Depot Artspace, Estuary Arts and the Mairangi Art Centre and exhibit regularly with these galleries as well as having my own solo exhibitions from time to time.
I have enjoyed being PANZ secretary in the past when I was also on the Committee. I also enjoy attending the PANZ Conventions.
I have just retired from many years working as a librarian at Takapuna Library, Auckland. I am still working in my position as archivist for the Methodist Church but should have a little more time for my old roses and of course for pastels.
