Art Gallery Bus Tour
Travel from Orewa to Warkworth, visit art galleries and shops, then continue to the village of Matakana for lunch and more gallery time. Return to Orewa.

PANZ Executive Committee Meeting
Committee meeting (members of the Executive only).
6.00 – 6.30pm
Registration and Social Time
Meet and mingle at Estuary Arts Centre, collect your name tag and settle in for the opening night.

Artist Demonstration – Susan Kuznitsky
Dappled Light and People: Simplifying Complex Scenes
Susan joins us as our featured guest artist. She will be sharing underpainting techniques combined with pastel sticks and pencils to simplify complexity and create the illusion of detail.

NZ Master Pastelists Michael and Julie Freeman share some of their process and techniques.

Learn how to create and photograph an engaging still life arrangement.

Improve the foundations of your paintings by getting the drawing right. Tips on perspective to help you draw better from photos and en plein air.

Courageous Colour
Nicola shares practical ways to be more adventurous with colour. Be inspired by paintings you love, make local colours more exciting, or go a little wild while staying in control.

AGM and Special Presentations
PANZ Annual General Meeting, special presentations, raffle draw and Convention 2027 announcement.

Lunch break and final chance to browse the Pastel Market.
1.30 – 2.30pm
Social Media Spotlight and Artist Panel
Learn more about sharing your art and connecting with audiences through social media. Panel discussion on building a portfolio, self-critique and artistic originality.

Final refreshment break before the closing sessions.

Paint-Around and Art Auction
Participatory paint-around session followed by an art auction and closing remarks for the convention.
