Nicola paints vibrant colourful landscapes in soft pastel and oil pastel.
Living on the Hibiscus Coast, she finds her inspiration in sunlight and shadow, big skies and beautiful places.
Working from her Red Beach studio, Nicola is passionate about colour and has developed a distinctive
style full of rich colour and movement. The achievement she is is most proud of is winning
the 2024 PANZ Purely Pastel National Exhibition supreme award, the Impressions Unison Cup.
‘On this cup are the names of many of my art heroes,’ she says. ‘It's a thrill to have my name alongside them’.
When she’s not creating new works, Nicola enjoys sharing her love of pastels at classes,
workshops, and regular paint together events for Auckland pastel artists.
